Early Works

I began sculpting stone during a major transition in my life. I had merged my business with another and it was a marriage that looked good on paper, but was a disaster for my heart and my finances. This led to a 3.5 year legal separation and the judgement went in my favor but the long drawn out process drove me inwards. I discovered during the summer of 1991, the joy of working with my teenage son carving stones. In this section you will see the journey I went on which I called my journal in stone. As the millenium approached, I had a premonition that my life was about to turn upside down, and the result led me to work on minimal and geometric designs which seemed to express the essence of my peace work. It was at this time that I began to see how my work was more than healing my losses but that these sculptures were also helpful for others finding peace in their lives. This is the great gift of being an artist.
